Mission Statement

Lieberthal Insurance Services was founded by Adam Lieberthal, our lead Licensed Agent and Insurance Adviser. Adam believes that insurance is more than just a policy—it’s a way to protect what matters most and to create a solid foundation for long-term financial success. His path into the insurance world wasn’t the most traditional, but it shaped the way he approaches his work today: with determination, empathy, and a true passion for helping people.

Before founding the agency, Adam built a career in the music industry, working for the country’s largest retailer of musical instruments. Newly married and buying his first home, life seemed secure and promising. But like many professionals in the mid-2000s, Adam experienced firsthand how quickly the economy—and corporate structures—could change. After years of restructuring, layoffs, and job changes during the Great Recession, he realized that stability in the corporate world wasn’t guaranteed.

It was a family attorney who first suggested Adam explore the insurance business. At the time, Adam laughed it off, telling his wife Julie that “selling insurance would be like walking on the moon.” Yet not long after, he found himself doing exactly that. Partnering with an independent agency, Adam immersed himself in the industry, learning every aspect of the business from the ground up. Within a year, he had built a solid foundation of knowledge and experience but was eager to see what larger, national companies offered.

That curiosity led Adam to join Farmers Insurance, where he gained valuable insight into the “captive agency” model—learning the strengths and limitations of operating within a national brand. While he appreciated the training and resources, Adam quickly realized that his entrepreneurial spirit and independent mindset were better suited to building something of his own. He valued the flexibility to shop multiple carriers, tailor coverage to each client, and provide unbiased advice.

With that conviction, Adam launched Lieberthal Insurance Services. What began as a bold step quickly grew into a thriving agency, supported by loyal clients who relied on him not only for insurance solutions but also for trusted guidance. Adam takes pride in protecting families, businesses, and communities while building long-lasting relationships along the way.

Today, Adam continues to work tirelessly as an Insurance Adviser, ensuring clients have the coverage they need for every stage of life. Outside the office, he is devoted to his wife Julie and their son Oliver. A lifelong musician, Adam is also a sought-after performer in the Los Angeles area, bringing the same passion and precision he has for music into his business. Whether on stage or in the office, Adam is committed to making every opportunity meaningful and every relationship lasting.
